As the coronavirus pandemic began to spin out of control, mixed messages were everywhere (and continue). The fallout of millions of people sheltering in place affected jobs, schools, businesses, transportation, the supply chain, mental health and just about every facet of life. It was never so clear how much a society is dependent on numerous systems to function. It also woke us up to slowing down, taking time with each other, driving less, hearing nature more, breathing fresher air and figuring out new ways to spend our time. The layers of this chart built up as each affected facet of life spiraled into more complex cascading situations.
