Lines Are Never the Same

2018-2019

ink on paper on panel, 12″ x 12″; ink and cut paper, 16″ x 16″

A series of drawings created by setting parameters of how they will be drawn. They test the apparent simplicity and ease of drawing a single line while revealing the variations that a line takes on from the person drawing it. The line is never the same.

The ink on paper pieces in this series are lines drawn as close as possible, either left to right or right to left and with either the left or right hand.
